Preston North End were founded in 1880 and are one of the 12 founder members of the Football League, winning the league title in the inaugural 1888/89 season too. They won the FA Cup and went unbeaten in the same campaign, leaving them dubbed as ‘The Invincibles’. The Lilywhites play their football at Deepdale and have done since 1878, making it the oldest ground in the game.
