Preston North End and Derby County meet in the Sky Bet Championship at Deepdale this lunchtime with both clubs looking to erase memories of heavy Good Friday defeats.
The Lilywhites lost 4-1 at Sheffield Wednesday despite being the better side in the first half while latest opponents Derby County suffered the shock of the day, a 4-1 home humbling to basement club Sunderland.
The home side go into the fixture against The Rams with no new injury concerns. Defender Greg Cunningham is building his fitness and is pushing for a first team recall while both Daniel Johnson and Louis Moult impressed from the bench at Hillsborough and could start.
In Friday’s post-match press conference, North End boss Alex Neil stated that he was disappointed with his side’s defensive players and that could signal a reshuffle at the back.
Derby County make the trip to Lancashire in dreadful form. The Rams are winless in eight and are in real danger of falling out of the play-off picture with that home defeat to Sunderland being a real low point.
Manager Gary Rowett will again be without striker Sam Winnall for the fixture at Deepdale but otherwise the club have no new injury concerns. Andre Wisdom, Joe Ledley, Kasey Palmer and David Nugent are all pushing for recalls.
The match is scheduled to kick-off at 12.45pm and will be screened live on Sky Sports Football.
