Five players Bristol City could lose for free in the summer

Bristol City have had an impressive season under Lee Johnson and are just on the outskirts of the Play-Off places. Here are five players they could lose for free in the summer-

Luke Steele- The 33-year-old goalkeeper joined them in the summer from Greek side Panathinaikos on a one-year-deal. It is yet to be known whether he will be offered a new contract yet but as it stands he will be a free agent in June.

Scott Golbourne- The left-back is currently on loan at League One side MK Dons and his contract with Bristol City is up in the summer. It seems unlikely that he will be offered a new deal and he could find himself looking for a new club in the summer. He is a decent option for a Championship/League One side though.

Bobby Reid- The 24-year-old has been Bristol City’s star man this season and they will not want to lose him on a free transfer. His contract is up in June and the Robins do have an option to extend it by a further year but it has not been taken up yet. This one could depend on whether they are promoted to the Premier League.

Gary O’Neil- The 34-year-old’s contract expires in June and he could be set to leave Ashton Gate. The former Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, West Ham United, QPR and Norwich City man joined the Robins in 2016.

Arnold Garita- The Cameroonian striker is another whose deal is up in the summer. He spent part of last season on loan at Plymouth Argyle.
