Harry Kewell is the 4/9 favourite for the Charlton Athletic job on SkyBet.

The League One side are currently looking for a new manager after Karl Robinson left them by mutual consent and joined Oxford United.

The Addicks are just on the outskirts of the Play-Offs and are still in contention for a promotion back to the Championship. The favourite for the vacant manager’s position is Harry Kewell.

The 39-year-old is currently manager of League Two outfit Crawley Town. He took charge of them last summer and they are now 13th in the league.

Kewell started his managerial career with Watford’s under-23’s from 2015 to 2017. He became the first Australian to manage a professional English side when he took charge of Crawley.

In his playing days, Kewell started his career in England with Leeds United and played for the Whites for eight years. He then left Elland Road to sign for Liverpool and he won the Champions League with the Reds in 2005.

He then left Anfield in 2008 to join Galatasaray and he won the Turkish Super Cup in his first season. Kewell spent three years playing in Turkey before having late spells in his playing career at Melbourne Victory, Al-Gharafa and Melbourne Heart (now Melbourne City).

Kewell is an exciting young manager and is the favourite for the Charlton Athletic job. Other candidates are the current caretaker boss Lee Bowyer, David Unsworth and Jaap Stam.
