Queens Park Rangers and Fulham lock horns this weekend in what could have a huge input in Fulham’s chase for promotion.

Fulham are currently sat in 4th place in the Sky Bet Championship, Slavisa Jokanovic’s men have pulled together an incredible run that has seen them rise up the table in recent weeks.

Their rivals are sat in 15th position, the Hoops are having a solid season as it appears that they are safe from relegation as well as promotion. Sitting 16 points above the drop zone and 15 points off the play-off places.

The Cottagers have gone 15 unbeaten in the Sky Bet Championship with their only loss of 2018 coming to Premier League club Southampton in the FA Cup. Fulham were able to snatch all three points in their last fixture with a last minute winner from Aleksander Mitrovic away at Preston North End.

Mitrovic had put the away side in the lead with just 20 minutes left to play before Sean Maguire levelled shortly afterwards for the hosts. But it would be the Newcastle United loanee that would have the last laugh with his 91st minute strike finding the net.

Although QPR’s unbeaten run may not be as impressive as their opponents, Ian Holloway has guided his side to three unbeaten which includes picking up points against promotion candidates.

The Hoops were last action on Tuesday night as they traveled to Villa Park to take on Steve Bruce’s side. QPR were able to leave the West Midlands with all three points after goals from Ryan Manning, Jake Bidwell and Luke Freeman ensured that James Chester’s late strike was only a mere consolation.

Fulham will be looking to complete the double over their rivals after picking up all three points at Loftus Road back in September.

A Jack Robinson own goal put the visitors in control before Stefan Johansen’s low drive doubled the lead late on. Northern Ireland striker Conor Washington would claw one back in injury time, but the points followed Fulham out of Shepherds Bush and back to Craven Cottage.
