Five players Phil Brown could sign for Swindon Town

Former Hull City, Preston North End and Southend United boss Phil Brown is now the new face of Swindon Town. Here are five players he could bring to the County Ground, should he stay on at the club in the summer-

Michael Turner- Phil Brown managed the centre-back at Hull City and he was crucial in their promotion to the Premier League in 2008. He then signed him in the summer for Southend United. With his contract there expiring in the summer, could Brown sign him again for Swindon?

Mark Oxley- Another who Brown has managed at both Hull City and Southend. The 27 year-old goalkeeper has lost his place as the number one at Southend but would be a decent signing for Swindon. He is certainly a ‘keeper who Brown trusts.

Jamie Devitt- The tricky winger was a youngster at Hull City when Brown was in charge there. He was given a chance in the first-team at the Tigers by Brown and he was obviously a fan of his. Devitt is now an experienced winger with over 250 career appearances. He now plays for Carlisle in League Two but could be a potential target for Brown.

Simon Cox- The experienced striker is a free agent in the summer when his contract at Southend expires. He has played at a decent level in his career and could be an option for Swindon, where he spent two years from 2007 to 2009 and was prolific.

Michael Timlin- The 32 year-old has played for Swindon before and was a hit at the County Ground. Phil Brown made him a key player for Southend and he is out of contract in the summer. Could Brown bring him back to Swindon?
