The ‘Beast from the East’ has battered the UK in recent days with snow and freezing conditions posing a real threat to this weekend’s Sky Bet Championship fixtures.
Four games were postponed before matchday while Middlesbrough were the first club of the weekend to beat the conditions on Friday evening as they defeated Leeds United 3-0 at The Riverside Stadium.
Two more games have fallen foul of the weather this morning as Aston Villa’s home clash with Queens Park Rangers and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ fixture with Reading were postponed due to safety concerns and snow.
