QPR linked with summer deal for Chelsea midfield ace

Sky Bet Championship club Queens Park Rangers are believed to be weighing up a summer move for out of contract Chelsea midfielder Isaac Christie-Davies according to Get West London.

The 20-year-old dynamic midfielder has been a regular for the Chelsea Development Squad in the Premier League 2 this season.

Christie-Davies is out of contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of the campaign and it has been reported that the player has been training with QPR with the West London club thought to be taking a close look at the youngster.

Competition for places in the midfield areas of the Chelsea first team has been made all the more difficult with the recent emergence of a number of academy graduates such as Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ethan Ampadu and Kyle Scott. Christie-Davies faces a battle for a first team shirt at The Bridge and it is unknown whether he will be offered a new deal beyond the summer.

The young midfielder was fielded in a QPR Under-23 side in a fixture against London rivals Crystal Palace at Copers Cope this afternoon. The R’s lost the fixture 3-0 however Christie-Davies played the full-match for the Sky Bet Championship club’s development side.

QPR have been looking at a number of academy graduates from English Premier League clubs in recent weeks as they look to plan a rebuilding project in the summer.
