Leeds went for a manager whose stock is rising so why not Barnsley? Cowley is one of the top rising managers in the EFL thanks to his exploits with Lincoln City. There were a mediocre Vanarama National side when he took control and then he got them promoted back to the Sky Bet League 2 and they look like good bets to get promoted again this year. You also can’t ignore that stunning FA Cup run to the quarter-finals form last year as well. So would he a great appointment for Barnsley?
