Notts County goalkeeper believes they can shock Swansea City

Notts County’s Adam Collin has told the Nottingham Post that he believes they can shock Swansea City in the FA Cup Fourth Round Replay.

It looked like Swansea City were going to ease through when Luciano Narsingh scored in the first half to give the Swans the lead. However the Magpies did very well to fight back and would get an equaliser through Jon Stead. Neither side could go on to get the winner though meaning that a replay will have to be played at Swansea’s ground the Liberty Stadium.

This will be an incredibly tough match for Notts County as they will have to travel to a side that has been in form since Carlos Carvalhal became their head coach. However their goalkeeper Collin believes if his side are patient and are willing to tough it on when the inevitable onslaught comes that they can win the game and set up a Fifth Round clash with Sheffield Wednesday.

He said: “We know they will have large spells of possession but we have to be patient, keep our shape and our discipline,”

“The team they put out in the initial tie was strong and they played well, moved the ball well but we looked comfortable and I didn’t have too many saves to make.”

“I thought we kept them in front of us and managed them quite well and I’m sure they’ll put another strong team out so it is up to us to apply ourselves in the same way.”

“We created a lot of chances and as long as we stick to the game plan, we’ll be okay.”

“It will be a good occasion for everybody and we’re all looking forward to it. It’s on TV so hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves and progress to the next round.”
