Reactions from the Stadium of Light as Sunderland show no sign of improvement

The mood at Sunderland has got even worse after they lost 2-0 to Ipswich Town today.

The Black Cats are currently in the Sky Bet Championship relegation zone and need to improve quickly if they want to avoid playing in Sky Bet League One next season. And for a while in today’s match, it seemed like they might actually have a chance of winning with a bright start suggesting that Sunderland might actually get something out of the game.

However things would soon go badly for Sunderland which is probably what the fans expected. In the 35th minute, Joe Garner was able to keep Billy Jones away from the ball in the box before finishing coolly into the net. Then right before the first half ended, Ipswich sealed all three points when Grant Ward’s cross was put into Sunderland’s own goal by Adam Matthews, an act which defines their season so far.

With Sunderland losing yet again, here is the reaction from the match.
