Crystal Palace are considering making a move for Ipswich Town’s Bartosz Bialkowski according to a report from journalist Alan Nixon.
It’s not been a great day for Palace as they look to complete as many deals as they can before the end of the transfer window. They have missed out on several targets and now they are starting to move onto Plan B as they look to improve their squad as much as possible. One of their Plan Bs though involves a top quality goalkeeper in the Sky Bet Championship and they are considering following it through as we are just hours away from the transfer deadline.
They are interested in signing Bialkowski from Ipswich and could make a move for him in the next few hours. The 30-year-old goalkeeper, who was once an international for the Poland U21s, signed for Ipswich in 2014 from Notts County and has been their number one ever since. While most years have seen Ipswich simply fight to keep their head above water, they have done a bit better this season and Bialkowski’s solid skills in between the sticks have contributed to that.
But with Ipswich not having the most money in the world, especially compared to some of their rivals in the Championship, they may be tempted to sell if Palace come in with a good offer for Bialkowski. It may not be a popular decision with the fans as they would prefer for them to keep their top players but it would be some good news for Palace.
