Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and QPR all want Scunthorpe United ace

Championship trio Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and QPR are all weighing up moves for Scunthorpe United midfielder Funso Ojo, as per a report by HITC Sport.

The 26 year-old has impressed in League One for Scunthorpe United since joining them in the summer and has been a key player for Graham Alexander’s side.

He could leave the Iron after just 6 months with various Championship sides considering a late move for him in this transfer window. However, they will have to act fast to get a deal done with the transfer window shutting on Wednesday.

Ojo joined Scunthorpe in July on a free transfer from Dutch Eredivisie side Willem II, of whom he played 67 games for in his two seasons at the club. He felt to England would benefit his career, which it has done with Championship clubs on his tail.

Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and QPR are all being linked with a move for the Belgian midfielder. All three of them are expected to make at least one signing to bolster their respective squads ahead of the rest of the season. Scunthorpe United fans will be hoping they can see off their interest over the coming days and hold onto their key man.

Ojo has previously played for PSV, VVV Venlo, Beerschott, Royal Antwerp, Dordrecht and most recently Willem II. He has also featured for the Belgium U21s. He has adapted very well to life in England’s third tier and a move to the Championship could be on the cards for him.
