Man Utd fixture once in a lifetime opportunity says Yeovil Town Midfielder

There is little like a Man Utd fixture to help escape thoughts of a relegation battle.  Yeovil Town welcome Jose Mourinho and his troops to Huish Park this evening in an FA Cup fourth round tie.  And for midfielder Jake Gray, the game is an experience that may not come up again, and one that needs to be appreciated.

It’s a little over three years ago since the last time these two sides met at the same venue, on that occasion in the third round of the same competition.  Yeovil made life difficult for their visitors but second-half goals from Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria was enough to see them through.

Tonight will surely see another focused performance from Yeovil, and Gray is looking forward to the occasion.

“We’re all really excited and you can tell it’s a big one because all the media people are here.  It’s going to be amazing; the atmosphere is going to be bouncing.

“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for most of us so we’ve got to try and grab it with both hands. It’s an exciting one for the club.  I think Pogba is the one we’re looking forward to playing against the most. Hopefully he’s on the pitch because you want to test yourself against the best.

“They obviously have loads of different talent with Matic and Herrera who have different styles of play so whoever we come up against we’re excited.  It will be my first time against this stature of opponent. Hopefully we can put in a brilliant performance.

“This club has an amazing history in this competition and we’re hoping we can add to that and put Yeovil on the footballing map.  We just can’t wait to get out there and give a good account of ourselves.”

The game will kick off at 19:55 in what will inevitably be a packed Huish Park.  Adding to the excitement is the possibility of new signing Alexis Sanchez making his debut for the visitors.  Mourinho has stated he will be fielding a strong team.

Gray and his teammates wouldn’t want it any other way.
