Yeovil Town defender believes anything can happen in Man Utd FA Cup tie

Yeovil Town’s, Man Utd FA Cup tie this evening is a welcome distraction.  Two points from the relegation zone, it is an opportunity for Darren Way’s side to dare to dream for one night at least.

Yeovil’s defeat to Chesterfield last Saturday was a hard one to take.  Having equalised through substitute Lewis Wing’s 80th minute goal, it appeared a share of the points was in the offing.  However an injury time winner by Chesterfield’s own substitute Kristian Dennis put paid to that.

But tonight is a chance to escape thoughts of a relegation scrap as Jose Mourinho brings his side to Huish Park for a fourth round FA Cup tie.

Ryan Dickson, Yeovil’s 31-year-old left back, has told the clubs official site that himself and his teammates have enjoyed the build up to the game, taking in Bristol City’s game with Manchester City on Tuesday evening to get a feel for the occasion.

“It will be great. It’s massive for the football and club and massive for the community.

“Yeovil isn’t a big town and we’re a bit isolated here so it’s amazing and what the club deserves.

“However, everyone is human and once the whistle blows it’s just another game of football.

“Concentration levels have to be high because their brains operate quickly but over 90 minutes anything can happen.”
