Maguire hints at Sheffield United exit

According to SkySports, Harry Maguire has suggested that he would like to leave Sheffield United.

Maguire, who has won The Blades’ Player of the Year award for three consecutive seasons, has proved himself to be one of the Football League’s finest defenders and although manager Nigel Clough has fought hard to keep the 21 year old for another season, it seems increasingly likely that a move away from Bramall Lane is imminent.

Maguire told SkySports: “Playing in the Premier League and Europe will be a dream for me at this stage of my career.

“I’ve played nearly 170 games, I’m just 21 and the Sheffield United fans know I’ve given my all in every game I’ve played.”

Both Fulham and Wolves have reportedly shown interest in the centre-back and lead the way for his signature but with neither club plying their trade in the Premier League, Maguire will surely set his sights on the top flight.
