Leeds United – there’s a new kid on De Bock

Today saw the arrival of new Leeds United left-back Laurens De Bock from Belgian side Club Brugge

De Bock joins United in the same week as Oliver Šarkić & Yosuke Ideguchi.

The hierarchy at Leeds didn’t deny that there would be transfer activity during the window but I don’t think any Leeds fans were expecting this much activity within one week.

After an interview with The Yorkshire Post, Laurens De Bock described the club as ‘Beautiful Leeds United’. It is rumored that Leeds will terminate the loan of Manchester United’s left back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson & send him back on his way to Old Trafford after spending the majority of his loan spell on the sidelines.

Yesterday, photos were leaked of the defender holding the Leeds shirt which led to various accounts unofficially announcing his arrival at Leeds.

On Twitter, speculation did begin to rise as to why the announcement was not made…

Fans are already hoping that De Bock can make his début for the Whites at the weekend as they travel to Portman Road to take on Ipswich Town

The Belgian full back made 130 appearances for Brugge during his five-year spell with the club, also he has made 12 appearances for the Belgian U-21s.

Laurens has played in England already in his career during an away game against Leicester City in the Champions League and he will be hoping to play them again soon with aspirations of playing in the Premier League, hopefully he can help Leeds on their journey there.
