Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Nottingham Forest striker

Premier League sides Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Nottingham Forest striker Ben Brereton, according to the Daily Mail.

The 18 year-old striker recently starred for Nottingham Forest in their 4-2 win over Arsenal in the FA Cup on Sunday. He is now the subject of interest from Everton and Spurs.

Leicester City and Crystal Palace are also being linked and have sent scouts to watch Brereton in recent months but it is Everton and Spurs who are the clubs that are most likely to move for him.

Like any youngster who bursts onto the scene at a young age, they are always going to be linked with moves to Premier League clubs. It is shame to see youngsters get signed up by a bigger club and then never play or get loaned out, so this is why Brereton should stay at Forest for now.

He is a regular starter for them and the best way for him to develop is by playing plenty of games and at a competitive standard like the Championship. It is great for Forest to have a top young talent that has come through their academy. They also have other talented youngsters like Joe Worrall and Matty Cash in their squad as well.

Forest have recently appointed Aitor Karanka as their new manager. He will be hoping that his new side can see off interest in Brereton and hold onto him in this transfer window. He has the potential to be a huge player for them in the future.
