Sunderland and Fleetwood keen on signing Manchester City youngster

Championship side Sunderland could make a move for Man City youngster Kean Bryan, with Fleetwood Town also keen on signing the 21-year-old, according to Football League World, who cite the print edition of The Sun.

Sunderland are monitoring the situation of Bryan, who has been impressing on loan with Oldham this season but is keen to see his future sorted out quickly.

This means he could be willing to sign a deal at Boundary Park again, and both Fleetwood and the Black Cats will have to act fast if they want to secure a deal for the youngster.

Bryan has been with the Premier League giants since the age of 11, but has yet to break into the first team in what is becoming an increasingly hard squad to break into at the Etihad.

A move to the Stadium of Light could appeal to the youngster though as he could be keen to test his resolve at a higher level, and despite the Black Cats being in a relegation battle, he’ll no doubt be keen to test his mettle against better opposition if the chance arises.

Latics boss Richie Wellens says extending the loan of Bryan is his main aim, as he told Manchester Evening News.

“Kean Bryan is the one I want to keep. He’s an outstanding footballer who does everything I want him to do. He’s the main one I want.”

“Kean obviously won’t get back in at Man City so he should stay here for the rest of the season. He can play at any club in the Championship next season, I’m that convinced.”

Keen Bryan’s loan at Oldham expires on January 1st.
