PREVIEW: Barnet hoping to complete double over Swindon

Barnet will be hoping for a repeat performance of their last fixture against Swindon when the sides meet at the Hive.

The Bees slipped back into the relegation places this weekend and find themselves a point behind Chesterfield in SkyBet League Two.

Their visitors Swindon are having an inconsistent time in the division following their relegation last season. They find themselves in 10th place and have only taken 14 points at home this season.

Barnet suffered agonising heartbreak on Saturday after the lost to promotion hunters Exeter City at St James’ Park. Barnet did well to pull themselves back into the game when Ryan Watson’s superb free-kick cancelled out Kane Wilson’s opener.

However, there was to be one sting left in the tale as Jake Taylor would lash in an injury time winner for the hosts who dumped Barnet back into the bottom two.

Visitors Swindon enjoyed a different fate to their opponents and picked up a respectable 1-0 win over second placed Notts County, with the Pies looking to capitalise on Luton’s loss to Port Vale.

Luke Norris struck the only goal of the game as David Flitcroft’s men closed the gap on the top seven to just two points.

When the two sides met earlier in the season, Barnet blew away their hosts with a comfortable 4-1 victory at the County Ground.

A Shaquile Coulthirst hat-trick was added to by experienced winger Jamal Campbell-Ryce to pull Barnet away from their hosts.

Luke Norris’ goal came as nothing but a consolation as the Bees were rampant in Wiltshire.
