Bradford City, Charlton Athletic and Scunthorpe United are all chasing the signature of Ipswich Town’s Kieffer Moore according to a report from the South London Press.
At the moment, Moore is currently on loan at Rotherham and has become a fan favourite at the New York Stadium during his short time there. He has scored an impressive 13 goals in 24 games, tied with Eoin Doyle and Brett Pitman for the 2nd top goalscorer in Sky Bet League One. But while the Millers want to keep him until the end of the season to aid in their push for promotion, there is a break clause in his contract which could see him return to Ipswich.
With Ipswich head coach Mick McCarthy claiming back in November that he would recall Moore in the January transfer window, that has opened up the opportunity for other teams to try and sign him. Three teams are set to move in to try and grab his signature with Bradford, Charlton and Scunthorpe reportedly all being interested in signing the lanky forward.
All three teams are currently in the chase for promotion and know that they’ll need some extra firepower if they want to get into the Sky Bet Championship this season. And with Moore already proving himself at this level with his form for Rotherham, they believe that he could be an excellent signing for them. However it remains to be seen if Ipswich would be willing to resell after recalling him and may instead give him a shot at claiming a place in their first team.
