Leeds complete Biachi Deal

It has been revealed on Leeds United’s official website that the Yorkshire club have completed the signing of Italian midfielder Tommaso Bianchi for an undisclosed fee from Serie A club Sassuolo.

The 25-year-old becomes the third signing made at Elland Road following the arrivals of Marco Silvestri & Stuart Taylor after penning a four-year contract.

Bianchi started his career in his home town of Follonica before moving to at the time Serie D club Piacenza he stayed with the club for 6 years. He did have a brief stint away from the club in the form of Chievo in February 2010, however failed to make a single appearance.

On his return BIANCHIto the club he made 41 appearances in the following season which made him the most picked player for the season. Although the Italian had a good season he failed to prevent the club getting relegated at the end of the season.

On the last day of the market in 2011, he was sold to Sassuolo where he continued his fine form making 59 appearances for the club.

Bianchi had a successful loan last season with Serie B team Modena appearing 41 times for the Northern Italian club helping them to a 5th place play-off finish. They went on to eventually be eliminated in the semi-finals by A.C. Cesena who went on to win promotion.
