Barnet will be looking to push away from the relegation places this weekend when they host Cheltenham Town at the Hive.

The hosts are dangerously hovering the relegation zone, just above Chesterfield on goal difference. The Bees are no strangers to the foot of the table, having been rooted to the bottom before this season.

Cheltenham however find themselves in a much more comfortable position. Currently in 15th place, the Robins are not threatened with relegation at this stage of the season.

Barnet come into the clash in poor form, having picked up three points in their last three league games. Two defeats, including a 2-1 loss to Chesterfield have put Mark McGhee’s side back into trouble.

However, victory last Saturday against fellow strugglers Morecambe has lifted moods at the Hive. Two quickfire goals from Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Jack Taylor secured the points for the Bees. However, it could have been far more comfortable had John Akinde converted from the penalty spot. Adam Campbell made it a nervy finish but the North London side were able to hang on.

Gary Johnson’s men have taken just four points from their last three. With a victory, draw and defeat all coming in these games. A 2-1 loss to promotion chasing Coventry City at the Ricoh Arena as Mohamed Eisa’s 10th league goal of the season was not enough.

On-loan right back Taylor Moore is set to return to first team football after a spell on the sidelines. The Bristol City defender has been a regular for the Robins so far this season.

The last time these two sides met at the Hive, ended in a 3-1 win for the Bees.

A brace from John Akinde and a goal from Curtis Weston were able to pull ahead after Danny Wright had put the visitors in front.
