Young Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay is understood to be wanted by Sky Bet Championship trio Leeds United, Preston North End and Bolton Wanderers according to The Sun.
The 21-year-old midfielder operates in the middle of the park and the player is highly rated by Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
McTominay made his senior debut for The Red Devils towards the end of last season and the player has been fielded on a further six occasions at first team level. Manchester United are keen for the youngster to experience first team football on a more regular basis and the player is likely to be made available for loan for the second half of the season.
It has now been reported that a handful of Sky Bet Championship clubs could make loan approaches for the player next month with Leeds United, Preston North End and Bolton Wanderers said to be leading the chase of McTominay’s signature.
McTominay has been on the books at Old Trafford for the past 16 years and the player has successfully graduated through the various youth age groups up to the senior squad. The midfielder is regarded as one of the best prospects to come out of the United academy since ‘The Class of 92’ and McTominay recently signed a contract extension with the club until 2021.
