Manchester City starlet enjoying time on loan in Suffolk

Manchester City youngster Bersant Celina has revealed he is enjoying his time on-loan at Ipswich Town in an interview with the Club Website.

Celina joined the Tractor Boys on-loan from the Premier League giants in the summer and has become a firm fan-favourite at Portman Road, netting seven goals for the Suffolk side in all competitions already.

21-year-old Celina is with the Blues for the season and, having scored his seventh goal of the season in the 4-2 win against Nottingham Forest last weekend, Town supporters are praising the wide element that the Kosovo international brings to the side that they have been missing in recent years.

Speaking in an interview to iFollow Ipswich, Celina revealed how he is enjoying his time in Suffolk as it has allowed him to develop as a player which staying at Manchester City would not have enabled.

“I am learning so much from the manager here,” he said.

“The philosophy is different from City and that is what I need right now. I have to do the defending side as well as look to do things going forward.  I’m in a really good place to learn.

“There are a lot of very talented players here, like Didzy [David McGoldrick and Waggy [Martyn Waghorn] and I can learn from them. Nearly all the players are older than me and I look up to them. I learn from them.

“Waggy has shown how talented he is with the goals he scores. If I can watch him and add what he does to my game, then great. It’s going to make me a better player.”

The Blues travel to Middlesbrough on Saturday, looking to move into the Sky Bet Championship play-off positions should they win at The Riverside and other results go in their favour.
