Leeds United have tweeted out to say that they have not bidded for Scott Hogan. SkySports previously reported that Leeds were interested but the Yorkshire club were quick to dismiss speculation and have tweeted out denying that they have made an approach for Dale’s midfielder.

Hogan began his career with Dale back in 2010 and after impressing in the youth academy, he earned a first team call up. The First team wasn’t necessarily the right move for the then 18 year old at that point in time however . He found it difficult to step up with the sheer physical aspects and pace of the game and team resulting in a difficult and problematic time for the youngster. Eventually his failure to make an appearance subsequently saw him released in the Summer.

After a few months in Stockport at a lower league club he eventually signed for Conference North side FC Halifax Town. He managed to make 5 appearances in a spell which lasted up until December where he then joined Stocksbridge. Here at Stocksbridge he managed 7 goals in a good few months. This resulted in more positive interest for Hogan.

The next piece of interest was from Championship side Barnsley where he reportedly held a trial. No contract came out of the trial and he resultantly signed for Ashton United. His time at Ashton was short lived, similar to his other clubs as he only managed 8 appearances with a single goal.

Hyde Fc were the next club to pick up the star and he scored 3 times for the club in a spell of 11 games. He’s good form and impressive appearances saw nearby Rochdale take him back to where his career began on May 9th 2013.

Hogan’s return to Rochdale has differed somewhat massively to his original spell as 28 appearances have seen him fire in 12 goals. This lethal form has attracted a host of clubs to him like bees around a honeypot.
