Bolton Wanderers, Brentford and Wigan Athletic are all preparing a move to sign Nottingham Forest’s Jorge Grant according to a report from Football Insider.
Grant has been on loan at Notts County this season after a successful spell across the Trent last year and he has continued to impress with the Magpies. Even though he is a midfielder, he has been a regular on the score sheet and scored his 10th goal of the season in all competitions this weekend with a strike against Bristol Rovers. But this form has attracted plenty of attention and several teams are looking to snap him up.
Both Brentford and Bolton are looking to bring him back to the Sky Bet Championship. Both teams have had underwhelming starts this season and while the Bees have recovered from that, Bolton are yet to. They are both looking for improvements, especially the Lancashire club as they need to escape from the relegation zone, and Grant would certainly be that. Wigan are also said to be interested as they look to add more to their squad to ensure promotion from Sky Bet League One.
The question is wherever or not Forest would be willing to sell. They have got a good record of bringing through youngsters to the first team and if their Championship rivals think Grant would be a good addition for them, presumably he’d have a positive effect for the Forest team as well. They may also think that it would be better if Grant was to stay at Notts County for longer to see how much he improves in an environment he is obviously enjoying.
