Chelsea and Spurs ready to bid for MK Dons youngster

English Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be ready to make moves for MK Dons youngster Callum Brittain according to the Mail Online.

The 19-year-old Bedford born full-back has impressed for The Dons since breaking into the first team picture at Stadium MK while he has also been selected to represent his country at Under-20 level.

With Brittain out of contract at his club in the summer, it has been reported that Chelsea and Spurs are ready to swoop to secure the player’s services although several other clubs are also monitoring the situation.

Brittain has been a regular for The Dons this season with the player making 10 appearances for the club and scoring his first professional goal in the 1-1 derby draw with Oxford United at Stadium MK early last month. The player has been with MK Dons since joining the club as a trainee and has successfully graduated through the various age groups to go on to star in the first team.

The youngster spent time on loan at Icelandic club Throttur Reykjavik in 2016 where he regularly won Man of the Match awards before being eased into the MK Dons side upon his return to the club.

Brittain’s pace on the flanks makes him an exciting prospect and his excellent performances for his club could see him earn himself a move to the English Premier League very soon.
