Amidst speculation surrounding three key components of his back-to-back promotion winning squad, Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has insisted that none of his star players will leave the Championship newcomers this summer.
Speaking to the Sheffield Star Evans stated “We have all the players we wanted to keep from last season under contract. These are the ones who played a significant part in our promotion and who we believe are good enough to step up to the Championship”. He then assured Millers fans that “No-one is going out.” This news will come as a welcome relief to supporters after Sky Sports reported that various clubs are interested in star players Alex Revell, Lee Frecklington, and Kieran Agard. All three players have just one year to run on their current deals and it’s believed that clubs are closely monitoring the situation.
Kieran Agard has recieved interest recently from Leeds United which was reported on the 72. Meanwhile Lee Frecklington is apparently attracting interest from Middlesbrough and South-Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday and two-goal Wembley-hero Alex Revell is believed to be on the radar of League One promotions hopefuls Sheffield United, Bristol City and Coventry City.
