It has long been rumoured, has gone through many hoops and around many corners, but now it appears that Leeds United have their man in Pawel Cibicki according to Swedish site Aftonbladet and their Sportbladet section.
Earlier this evening, pictures supposedly of Cibicki engaged in the ‘staged for media’ pose started appearing on Twitter (tweets – below) purporting to show a completed deal for the Swedish striker with Polish heritage.

Despite all of this clear evidence that Pawel Cibicki has signed for Leeds United, one of the leading Leeds journalists Lee Sobot rubbished the rumours that he was close to signing.
Here is Sobot’s first tweet on the situation – this tweet was released after the leaked images of Pawel Cibicki confirming his transfer to Elland Road.
Leeds definitely talking with Malmo's Paweł Cibicki but no deal done. Have obviously seen the reports in Swedish media. #lufc

The Yorkshire Evening Post journalist received several sarcastic comments following his strange tweet. He was in for a roasting:
Heard a new 3 year contract is in the pipeline for Stuart Dallas, any truth?
— Dan (@lufc_dan) August 30, 2017
Have you heard anything about this Radrizziani takeover that's supposed to be happening?
— Tim Smith 💙💛🤍❤️🧡🖤 (@timmsy_ks) August 30, 2017
Of course, the subjects of the two tweets had already been completed.
Lee Sobot did read most of the replies, and as a result, he responded with this tweet:
Quite obviously seen the pics (and the lovely comments) but 100 per cent no deal is done yet with Cibicki. All will become clear… #lufc

This tweet did not stop the Leeds fans for taking advantage of the opportunity to have some fun, so the replies continued to come:
