Preston North End, Cardiff City, Hull City and Fulham are all interested in a move for Bristol Rovers winger Billy Bodin, as per a report by the Bristol Post.
The midfielder has been in stunning form for Bristol Rovers at the start of this season scoring five goals in six games. It is this form that has attracted various Championship clubs to his signature.
A fee of just £250,000 has been touted as the starting price for the 25 year-old. He impressed for the Pirates last season in League One, scoring 16 goals in his last 28 appearances. It is expected that he will leave Bristol Rovers before the end of the transfer window.
Preston North End are thought to be the leaders in the race for the winger, mainly due to the uncertain future of Jordan Hugull. However, Cardiff are also linked and are no strangers to dipping into League One for talent, having already signed Neil Etheridge and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing this summer from Walsall and Rochdale respectively. Hull City is another possible destination, the Tigers are exporters to be busy before the end of the window and boss Leonid Slutsky is keen to make some acquisitions.
Bodin started his career at hometown club Swindon Town before loan spells at Torquay and Crewe Alexandra, before a permanent stints at Torquay again and then Northampton. He then joined Bristol Rovers in 2015. His performances for the Pirates have resulted in Bodin being called up for the Wales U21 side. It will be interesting to see where his next destination will be.
