Bright future for Baldock on?

, Bright future for Baldock on?Brighton and Hove Albion have had a bid rejected by Bristol City for striker Sam Baldock (25), Sky Sports’ Pete O’Rourke confirms.

The striker scored 23 goals in 42 games last season for Bristol and finished top scorer in League 1 last term. Brighton are aiming to strengthen their squad after a season of play-off disappointment. The striker who spent a season with West Ham previously spent seven seasons with MK Dons before signing for the Hammers. Since signing for Bristol, goals have been plentiful and he has enjoyed a largely successful stint with the club in his first season.

It is unknown as to where Baldock will end up, but it is likely the Championship could well be his destination if Bristol are offered enough for his services. It’s certain that Brighton have the funds to afford him anyway. Whether they will get their man is another question.
