Preston striker on his way out?

Garner goalJoe Garner has apparently refused a contract extension for Preston North End SkySports Journalist Pete O’Rourke confirmed through twitter.

Striker Garner scored 24 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions last season for the Lancashire club.

The contract refusal may have alerted several clubs towards Garner and his situation after last season and his fantastic goalscoring form. Because Garner is over 26 as well, if in the January transfer window other clubs approach him, he can agree terms with them and leave Preston on a Bosman free transfer. With the highly rated striker having little time left on his contract as well, it could be likely that he may have talks or hold discussions with clubs before the end of the transfer window.

Preston are likely to come back with an improved offer for the striker, but will it be enough for his demands?
