The big Championship news is yesterday Cardiff City confirmed the signing of Adam Le Fondre from Reading. The fee – which is undisclosed – was accepted by Reading as Cardiff now add him into their strike force. He complete’s a three year deal with the club who he is inevitably looking to help promote back to the Premier League. He will also link up with new boy Federico Macheda who signed for the Welsh outfit the other day. Le Fondre is an experienced signing who boasts a record of 29 goals in 77 games for the Royals as well as previously succesful stints at Rotherham and Rochdale in League 1 and 2. He also has Premier League experience from the Royals recent campaign in the top-flight.

League 1

Glenn Morris has joined Gillingham from Aldershot on a one year deal. The keeper has joined following a two year stint with Aldershot which saw relegation to the conference for the club. He made 37 appearances for the shots however he now links up with Gillingham in League 1.

League 2

Young goalkeeper Jason Mooney has joined York City from Tranmere. The 25 year old only made four appearance for Rovers and now joins City on a two year deal. He is 6ft 9inches which gives him an great advantage in net with his height.

On the topic of goalkeepers, Liam O’Brien has left Brentford to join Dagenham. He has signed a two year deal with the club. This comes after not making a single appearance for the Bee’s. He leaves after their promotion to the Championship.

Matt Gill has also joined Tranmere rovers as a player coach.
