After five wins from seven games this April, it’s no wonder that Darren Ferguson has been nominated for this month’s Manager of the Month award. Also, it seems that securing a play-off place seems to have had some part to play in the fact that he’s been awarded with this nomination.
Peterborough have held off stiff competition from the likes of Swindon Town and Sheffield United in order to secure a play-off place and keep the hopes alive that promotion to the Championship is still very much possible for the Posh, one of the four teams competing in the League One play-offs.
Ferguson has put in as good a performance as any other manager who has been nominated for the monthly award for April and the winner will be announced on Friday (2/5/14).
