5 of the Football League’s best young English managers

The son of another shrewd manager in Yeovil’s Gary Johnson, Lee is carving out his own story at Oldham Athletic. Having taken over from Paul Dickov last season, he managed to keep the side in League One and has tried to install an attractive, possession-based attacking style to his side.

Has it worked completely? Time is yet to tell as changing a club’s ideals takes times. He has a relatively friendly fixture list to ensure the Latics stay away from the drop-zone but he’s already won fans from across the Football League for his desire to create a team that plays football even in the lower divisions.
