4 things we learned about League 2 this weekend

The Play-Off race is still wide open

KitsonFollowing a pivotal week in League 2, the race for the Play-Offs has been thrown wide open again thanks to some important results. Fleetwood failed to keep the heat on the top three after a frustrating home draw which could end the Cod Army’s dreams of automatic promotion whilst Burton also lost; 1-0 away to strugglers Northampton. These two results have done little to change the perception that Fleetwood and Burton are almost guaranteed a top seven finish but 6th placed Southend’s defeat means that there is just one point separating 6th and 8th. Oxford’s surprise win in Plymouth has revived the U’s Play-Offs hopes and could have ended Argyle’s dreams. York will be disappointed with their home draw against Accrington but they remain firmly in the hunt. It’s all to play for with just four games remaining.
