League 1 Weekend Preview

Swindon v Brentford

Swindon will be looking to bounce straight back after suffering a 1-0 away defeat at Carlisle last time out. Although, before that they had won their last 3. the Robins still have an outside chance of getting into the play-offs, they are 8th, 7 points behind Peterborough. However, on paper Borough seem to have a considerably easier run in. If Swindon do reach the play-offs they will be hoping for better luck than last season, when they lost in the semi-final, on penalties, to Saturday’s opponents.

Brentford v SwindonBrentford come into this match off the back of 2 consecutive home wins against Notts County and Crawley. However, before that they played 3 away games and failed to score in all of them. Mark Warburton will be hoping for a bit more luck in front of goal when they travel to the County Ground. The Bees are second, 9 points clear of 3rd placed Rotherham, and they know that 2 wins and a draw will be enough to send them up.

Swindon have the 3rd best home record in League 1 and will be hoping to keep that intact and with Brentford not having scored a goal in the last 3 away matches, they have a good chance to. Although, the Bees aren’t second for nothing.

Previous Score: Brentford 3-2 Swindon

Score Prediction: Swindon 1-2 Brentford
