Just like Robbie Fowler, Ryan Lowe is a local lad, born in Liverpool 1978. Currently operating as a striker in League One for the Merseyside outfit. Lowe could be seen as a short term option, to see the side through until the end of the season before weighing up their options fully during the off season. Lowe has become a fans favourite at Tranmere, scoring 20 goals in League 1, 5 times more than Rovers’ next top scorer. These goals include an impressive hat-trick at Sixfields in Tranmere’s 5-1 demolition of Coventry. As always with an interim manager, Lowe would have the chance to prove himself for the 6 games Rovers have to keep them up, possibly pushing his name up there for a permanent role as manager at Prenton Park.
