Sunderland believed to have made £12m offer for Norwich City winger

Sunderland are believed to have made a bid worth £12m for Norwich City’s Robbie Brady according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The 24-year-old winger, who can also play at left back, was one of the most tracked players in the summer with the likes of Premier League champions Leicester City and West Ham United making offers for him. But Norwich keen to get promoted back to the top tier and Brady being in red hot form after some superb displays at Euro 2016 for the Republic of Ireland, they wanted to keep hold of him and ended up rejecting any offer made for him.

However Norwich are in a completely different position now. They are just outside the play-offs and their head coach Alex Neil needs reinforcements if he wants to turn his season around, but to do so he will need to free up some room in the budget. This has led to a number of sides thinking that they will be able to sign Brady during this transfer window and that he might even be available for a cheaper fee than he was in the summer.

And this has led Sunderland to make an offer which is believed to be around £12m, the new valuation of Brady after it was dropped from the £20m valuation from back in the summer. But despite that, Norwich are still looking to keep hold of the Irishman and have rebuffed the offer, though Sunderland will look to continue their pursuit of the winger.
