Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to offer their opinion on the potential incoming of Nottingham Forest captain, Henri Lansbury.
At one point earlier this afternoon, betting was suspended by bookmakers and it looked more or less a done deal that he would be the latest player to head to Villa Park.

Steve Bruce, the club manager also confirmed that they were waiting for Lansbury’s club, Nottingham Forest to respond to their offer. Rumoured to be up to 3 million.
The player had been heavily linked with Derby County at the beginning of the transfer window. Steve McClaren, keen to add to his squad, had his 2.5 million pound bid fluffed.
Should he join Villa, Lansbury would certainly be joining a club on the up. Following the appointment of Steve Bruce in October, they have slowly but surely moved up the table. They now sit 12th, one place above their fierce rivals, Birmingham City.
Lansbury, who was a product of the youth system at Arsenal, has also been targeted by Premier League outfit, Watford, in recent days. Brendan Rodgers Glasgow outfit Celtic are another to be linked,
It now appears to be only a matter of time before he departs Forest – with his contract due to expire in the summer.
Villa fans, of course, wasted no time in getting drawn into the speculation and took to twitter to have their say on what could be a key signing in the makeup of their season.
Here are a selection of the tweets:

Henri Lansbury is exactly what we need and for the price it would be a steal. So we need to stop "enquiring" and get in a bid. #avfc
