Grant Hanley – Blackburn Rovers
Hanley took over as captain from Scott Dann after his move to Crystal Palace and the young Scot led by example in Rovers huge game against Ipswich at Ewood Park. In a nervy game, Blackburn struck twice in the second half to earn a vital three points in their push for the play offs. Along with his fellow defenders, Hanley kept Ipswich out and this was the first time the Tractor Boys have failed to score in five games.
