5 years ago on Saturday, Federico Macheda scored that goal against Villa for Manchester United at Old Trafford. To date that remains the highlight in a stop start career, although he is slowly writing new headlines in his loan spell at Birmingham. The Blues trailed at half time in their crunch game against fellow strugglers Doncaster. However, Macheda turned the game on its head, levelling the scores with a goal from a tight angle. Lee Novak gave Birmingham the lead and Macheda secured the points and what could be Championship safety for his side with a fine header from close ranger.
