berraAnother defender keeping his team’s play-off push on track was Christophe Berra. The Scottish international’s impressive defensive displays have not gone unnoticed as his side creeps towards that oh-so valuable 6th spot. The commanding centre half has proved just as vital at the opposite end of the pitch with winning goals against Yeovil and Derby, the latter a 90th minute header that sent the Portman Road faithful into raptures, and kept them in touching distance of the end-of-season lottery. The Tractor Boys have kept 3 clean sheets in 7 games in a successful March, and it is therefore no surprise to see the man at the heart of their defence nominated for the award  with the praise of Mick McCarthy ringing in his ears.
