Jermaine Anderson may just be the most unfortunate footballer around.
In 2014/15, he missed the final three months of the season after he broke his foot.
Last November, he suffered an knee injury that kept him out for the rest of the season.
And just six games into his recovery, he’s suffered a similar injury, this time in his other knee, which will keep him out until at least May.
Anderson is just 20 years old, and is an extremely hot prospect at Peterborough United, but a third serious injury in just three years has meant the young midfielder will have to work twice as hard to fulfill his potential.
Peterborough United manager Grant McCann said that everyone at the club is “absolutely devasted for Jermaine”, but how did the rest of the Peterborough associates react?
Anderson received messages of support from former team mates Erhun Oztumer and Gabriel Zakuani.
@JermaineA96 bro just heard about injury. Keep your head up you'll come back stronger #sooncome

Fit for just two months out of a possible 20, that really is awful luck for the youngster.
How incredibly unlucky for Jermaine Anderson. He'll end up having been fit for two months in about 20! #pufc https://t.co/GoVwzohdqA

Peterborough United’s next game is a trip to Sheffield United on Saturday. Their other young midfielder Leo Da Silva Lopes is expected to replace Anderson in the starting line up.
