Crystal Palace line up £8m move for Nottingham Forest winger

Crystal Palace are lining up an £8m move for Nottingham Forest’s Oliver Burke according to a report from The Mirror.

The 19-year-old winger broke into the first team last season but has really started to impress in the first few games of this season with Burke really prospering under Philippe Montanier’s coaching style. This however has attracted plenty of attention and reports suggest that Palace are leading the race to sign him.

The Eagles have just sold one of their star wingers after Yannick Bolasie completed a £20m move to Everton earlier in the week and now they are looking for a replacement. They’ve already been linked with a move for Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko but that deal could end up costing them £30m, and while Burke is much younger and untested in the Premier League, he may be seen as the better option.

But Crystal Palace aren’t alone in being interested in signing Burke. Reports have suggested that both Arsenal and Liverpool are closely monitoring the progress of the youngster and have sent scouts out to his games. However it is currently unknown if either of the clubs were impressed enough to make a bid and may end up being pipped to the post by Palace.
