Birmingham City make improved offer for Sheffield United starlet

Birmingham City have made an improved offer for Sheffield United’s Che Adams according to a report from the Birmingham Mail.

The Blues are keen to sign the 21-year-old forward as in his appearances for the Blades he has shown plenty of talent, with the country taking notice of him back in 2015 when he scored a brace against Tottenham Hotspur in the Capital One Cup.

Already this summer, Birmingham have made a bid for Adams after making an offer worth £1.2m, but Sheffield United turned it down. Now though the West Midlands club have come back with an improved offer believed to be around £1.7m which is much closer to Sheffield United’s valuation of the player. Now the club will have to wait for a reply as United will be mulling over whether or not to sell one of the stars of the future.

Adams started his career at Coventry City but was released from their academy in 2010 and ended up at Oadby Town. After playing well for them, he moved to Ilkeston. He soon became a star there and was noticed by Sheffield United who brought him to Bramall Lane. He then went on to score 13 goals in 46 appearances for the Blades.
