Aston Villa and Leeds United to battle it out to sign Nantes forward

Aston Villa and Leeds United are set to fight to sign FC Nantes’ Yacine Bammou according to a report from French publication L’Equipe.

Reports from France have shown that Brammou is no longer part of Nantes manager René Girard’s plans and he is now willing to sell the 24-year-old forward, leading to a number of clubs being interested in signing him.

Villa have been interested in many strikers this summer, most notable Fulham’s wantaway hotshot Ross McCormack, due to their lack of goals last season, one of the reasons they were relegated from the Premier League. And as they rush to get a new forward in Villa Park before the start of the season, they have now started to pursue an interest in Brammou.

But they aren’t the only team from England trying to sign Brammou this summer. Leeds United are hoping to continue the revolution of their squad with this signing while Wolves are also interested as they hope to sign some big name players after their takeover earlier in the week.

But all these English clubs may lose out on him as the current leaders in the race to sign Brammou are Toulouse. They could be about to lose their star striker Wissam Ben Yedder and believe the Nantes striker could be a great replacement for him.
