Will Vaulks being chased by Championship trio

Falkirk’s Will Vaulks is being tracked by Bristol City, Barnsley and Rotherham United according to a report from the Scottish Sun via the Bristol Post.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who can also play in defence, only has 12 months left on his contract and could end up leaving on a free transfer next summer.

This has led to three Championship clubs reportedly stating an interest in the player. Bristol City, Rotherham and Barnsley all eye a potential bargain for a young player with plenty of potential. One club has already had a bid rejected for Vaulks, though they are currently unnamed.

Despite being fairly young, Vaulks has already ingrained himself into the Falkirk first team by making 130 appearances for them while scoring 13 times and making 15 assists.

With this making Vaulks into a key player for Falkirk, they are very keen not to lose him this summer and will try to reject any bids made for him as they aim to get promoted from the Scottish Championship. However, the temptation of playing Championship football may be enough to tempt the midfielder to move south of the border.

Rotherham will be extra keen to sign Vaulks, especially as the last time they battled with Barnsley for a signature, Tom Bradshaw’s, they lost out. Bristol City however have plenty of cash to splash this summer and may make a bid the South Yorkshire clubs can’t match.
