Championship club Bristol City are not interested in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan according to the Bristol Post.
It has recently been reported by SunSport that The Robins were set to make an official approach for the Hungarian keeper however it is now thought that those reports were wide of the mark.
Bristol City are currently short of goalkeeping options ahead of the new campaign with experienced stopper Frank Fielding ruled out of action until at least the middle of next month following ankle surgery on an injury sustained back in April. Fielding’s injury leaves City manager Lee Johnson searching for other options to compete with fit goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell.
Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has strongly been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer and the speculation increased after the player was not named in The Reds’ squad for the pre-season friendly at Wigan Athletic on Sunday however Bogdan is unlikely to make a move to Ashton Gate. Bogdan has struggled to break into the first team picture at Liverpool with the keeper making just six appearances for the club since arriving at the club as a free agent 12 months ago.
Bristol City have previously been linked with former Rangers goalkeeper Cammy Bell who fell out of favour at Ibrox however the player has since signed a two year deal with Scottish Championship club Dundee United and The Robins’ search for goalkeeping cover goes on.
